Introduce Fire and Earth feng shui element decor items and/or colours, but avoid a strong presence of the Metal element here in 2012. Feng shui crystals are especially good in the West area this year. You can choose Citrine or Pyrite because of their association with wealth, Tiger's Eye for strong protective earth energy, or Amethyst for purification. |
Activate the Love & Romance energy here in 2012 with your choice of feng shui cures for love, such as the rose quartz hearts, the pair of mandarin ducks, the double happiness sign, etc.
Be sure the energy of the West area of your home is clean, beautiful and active. Spend more time there, play music, etc. Keep the energy fresh, flowing and happy. |
Northeast Area
NORTHEAST ba qua area has the fortunate purple # 9 star ( Fire element ) in 2012. Avoid putting down the fire energy with water element items such as mirror, black and/or blue colour, water feature or image of water element in the Northeast.
Fresh flowers, candles, happy images, and the likes will strengthen the already happy potential of this auspicious area. Work with number 9 to multiply the benefits. For instance, you can have an arrangement of 9 red or purple candles or an image of 9 pink flowers. Strengthen the #9 star (Fire element) with 9 red or purple candles, healthy lush plants, 9 beautiful pink flowers, and/or 9 stalks of lucky bamboo. |
East Area
EAST ba qua area in 2012 has the # 4 star ( Wood Element ). This star governs Love & Romance, Education and Creative endeavours. Best not to use fire or metal colours here as they damage the wood. Blue and black are good colours for the East area this year as they feed the wood element of the # 4 star without over-stimulating it as to lead to infidelity ( inviting a third-party to the romance ! ).
A vibrant green plant in the East area will be a good feng shui cure. Display images of romance as well as exciting travel destinations or creative projects. This is also a good place for mission statement in 2012. Fresh flowers are excellent here. Alternatively, activate the love energy here in 2012 with double happiness sign, rose quartz crystals or 2 hearts, a pair of mandarin ducks, etc. Introduce gentle Water element colours, blue and/or black. A beautiful mirror or lush green plants will be just as effective. Avoid Metal element colours such as white, grey, silver and gold; and metallic decors. |
Central Area
CENTRE of your home or office in 2012 has the beneficial #6 white star (Metal element). It brings helpful and auspicious energy to achieve recognition for your accomplishments. It also encourages you to aim higher and become more than you thought possible.
Metal element colours ( white and/or grey ) and earth element colours are good in the Centre in 2012. Quartz crystals and stones are also excellent feng shui cures. Introduce a metal element decor that can enhance your career energy such as images of people you admire in a metal frame or choose highlights from your own career. 6 Chinese coins is the typical cure recommended for this star. Either display the coins openly or have them laid out in a drawer. Alternatively, display 6 crystals in a beautiful way. Choose any rock crystals and in any form from natural formations such as clusters, geodes, carvings or spheres. Pyrite can work very well here in 2012. |
South Area
SOUTH has very favourable feng shui energies of the White star # 1 in 2012. The right nourishment of these energies will strengthen the career and good luck energies in one's home or office.
Metal element is good here. Good feng shui colors for this feng shui area in 2012 are water and metal element colours such as black, blue, charcoal grey, and white. Add other water element decors. Avoid fire element colors such as red, purple, hot pink, and orange as well as fire element shapes and decors. The 2012 feng shui energies in the South bagua area are also nourishing your relationships. Family photos in metal frames or any other objects in pair are good for feng shui cures for love. This can also be an excellent area for a mission statement reflecting both professional and personal goals. The # 1 White star is associated with overall success - be it in career, love relationships, money or education. It is a Water element star visiting a Fire feng shui element ba qua area in 2012, so you have to be careful in applying your cures. Introduce Water and Metal element decors in the South bagua area of your home in 2012. Blue, black, charcoal grey and white are a good colours for South ba gua decor in 2012. Avoid Wood element decor (Wood weakens the Water element of the visiting star). So avoid a strong presence of green and brown colour as well as tall and big plants or focal point images with plants/lush greenery. Although the feng shui element of the South ba gua area is Fire, it is best to avoid its strong presence in 2012. There is no need to eliminate it completely, just focus on a decor that will strengthen the 2 feng shui elements needed here in 2012 - the Water and the Metal elements. Best feng shui cures for South in 2012 are those with strong victorious and joyful energy. The image of the horse is a classical feng shui cure that can work very well here. A metal Wu Luo (Chinese gourd) is also recommended as well as items in round shapes. |
Along with the auspicious White Star # 1 there is also a presence of not-so auspicious energy (known as the 3 killings or San Sha in Chinese) in the South ba qua area in 2012.
To avoid complication, keep the South area quiet in 2012 - no renovation work, no noise, etc; otherwise financial loss, sickness and/or dispute may arise. Avoid spending too much time there in 2012, nor face the South for too long. Some consider this to be the most horrible of all the annual afflictions. Do avoid standing or sitting with your back to the South. A source of strong protective energy such as the Chi Lin is good here. |
North Area
The North ba gua area in 2012 is hosting the so-called illness star # 2. The element of this star is Earth whereas the element of the North ba gua area is Water. Water, Wood and Metal elements are used to weaken the Earth, so the best cures are based on these elements. Introduce Metal element cures here to support the Water of the North area and to weaken the Earth element of the challenging annual star. Cures include a metal singing bowl, a metal Wu Luo (gourd), six Chinese coins, or any metal decor item, preferably with round/circular shapes.
North area in 2012 is also the right ba gua area to place your salt water cure or just a bowl of clean water (Do keep it fresh and clean). Alternatively, display colours of Water and Metal elements (blue, black, white, and all metallic finishes). |
Southwest Area
The visiting #3 Star in the Southwest ba qua area is associated with discords and arguments. The element of #3 Star is Wood whereas the element of the Southwest ba gua area is Earth. Wood weakens Earth. There is, therefore, a need to strengthen Earth and weaken Wood, and a strong Fire element decor is recommended.
Use red and purple colours, candles, bright lights, triangular shape items, etc. A couple of red cover books, a bright red lampshade, red pillows, and the likes will be just as effective. Avoid Water, Wood and Metal elements here in 2012 such as a strong presence of blue, black, green, brown, white or grey colour. For Buddhists, a statue of Buddha will be an excellent feng shui cure here to calm the energy of this star. Avoid activating the bad energy through loud noises, TV or computer in this area. Do create a strong Fire energy element, but not take it to the extreme. |
Challenging energies (provoking bad luck) from the so-called 5 Yellow Star and the Grand Duke prevail in the Southeast ba gua area in 2012.
Salt water cure or placing a bowl of clean water to negate or mitigate the energies (do not place a fountain here in 2012 as it provoke the energies). Metal wind chimes or heavy metal ornaments are needed here in 2012. In addition to a 6-rod wind chime, placing 6 metal Chinese coins, a metal or wood Wu Luo, a metal bell or bowl, a metal Chi Lin, and the likes will reinforce the protection. Be creative and use different metals such as gold, silver, copper, brass, etc. |
Southeast Area
Do avoid facing Southeast for long period of time in 2012. The #5 yellow star along with the Grand Duke of Jupiter or Tai Sui in chinese ( also known as Star Gods or Protectors of the 60-year cycle ) is situated in 2012. Because of this you must have protection against loss of wealth in 2012.
Avoid Fire element colours (red, purple, strong yellow, magenta and orange) as well as all sandy and earthy colours (earth element). Also avoid Fire element shapes (triangular) and items (candles). The Southeast decor for 2012 is best in Metal element colours such as white and grey or water element colours (blue and black). To counter the Grand Duke energy, place a metal Pi Yao in the bagua area that is opposite the area with the Duke's presence. For 2012, place the Pi Yao in the Northwest facing Southeast. For Taoists and Buddhists, a statue of Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, or a feng shui Dragon statue will be good here. However, the statues must not be of red colour. Also best to keep the Southeast area of your home as quiet as possible. Do not activate this area with loud music, TV, and the likes. |
Northwest Area
The Northwest ba gua area is hosting the challenging star # 7, and this star associated with unexpected negative events. The element of this visiting star is Metal which is similar to the element of the Northwest ba qua area.
Focus on Water element cures to counter the Metal energy. Avoid Earth element decor because Earth strengthens Metal. Introduce pillow, lamp shade, rug and/or curtains with Water element. Pi Yao is good here, and place it facing the Southeast area. Blue Rhinoceros strengthens the needed Water feng shui element too. Avoid a strong presence of the Metal element. Also avoid the Earth element. Keep the Northwest bagua area calm for 2012, i.e. no renovations, no noise, etc. |
